Becky, thank you so much for stepping up to this most-important leadership role. I know that the rest of the Board will help you out.

Hi, everyone! In spite of my embarrassing lateness, I enjoyed meeting all of you on Tuesday afternoon. I teach at Winston-Salem State University, one of the smaller constituent institutions of the University of North Carolina. Except for a brief graduate assistantship, this is the only place I've taught, and I've been here since the fall semester of 1969. (Please note that this was my first full-time job!) Hi, everyone! (Please note that this was my first full-time job!) My primary field is American lit, and my main research interest is late 19th century American writers, but I teach a variety of courses, including first-year comp, sophomore literature, and a teacher-preparation course that is part grammar course and part intro to linguistics. The last of these is taught both online and face-to-face. I have agreed to take on the editor's task, but I'm going to need quite a lot of help, so I really appreciate the fact that all of you have agreed to serve! Hi, Andrea: It's good to have all this information about you. I'm so glad you are again on the Editorial Board. We should make great progress this year.

Hi, everyone! I am Andrea Sanders, and I am a faculty member at Chattanooga State Community College where I have taught all of the 1000/2000 level English courses as well as a course we call "Humanities" - an overview of art, literature, music, theatre, philosophy, and history - very similar to the "World History" sequence but with a focus on the humanities. In addition, I am currently working under a dual services contract engaged in a 1/2 time position with the Tennessee Board of Regents as the coordinator of the ROCC (Regents Online Campus Collaborative) faculty mentoring program. The ROCC sponsors the RODP - Regents Online Degree Program - which is a state-wide collaborative enabling students to get degrees completely online through their neighboring state institution. I have developed for my home schools and the RODP the following online courses: ENGL 1010, ENGL 1020, ENGL 2110 (Am Lit I), ENGL 2120 (Am Lit II), HUM 1010, HUM 1020.

I look forward to working with all of you!

Best wishes,
It was a pleasure meeting other members of the editorial board during our first conference call. I work in the English department at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. As writing programs coordinator, I focus on writing across the curriculum and in the disciplines. My Ph.D. is in rhetoric and composition, but I have a long and abiding interest in literary criticism and critical theory, both of which I teach on a fairly regular basis. I look forward to collaborating with all of you.
