CAPCSD MERLOT Conference Call 11/17/09

Cathy encouraged us to build the number of resources in our area. First goal should be 150 linked resources (separate or cross-listed)
Pam encourages all Assoc. Editors to contribute resources.
Information will be discussed at CAPCSD meeting at ASHA to encourage submissions from CAPCSD members.

Pam asked about the Content builder and Soft Chalk additions to the MERLOT site: Cathy explained that Content Builder is the KEEP toolkit, now housed at MERLOT and re named. Author snapshot- description of author reflections, etc. the old KEEP TOOLKIT. Example: http://contentbuilder.merlot.org/toolkit/html/snapshot.php?id=83229...


Susan mentioned losing some descriptions when submitting. Cathy says that can happen occasionally. Recommended to write summaries in Word, then paste in MERLOT, which also gives ability to spell check.
Susan has developed Camtasia for several of her labs and asked about submitting those. Will check on intellectual property for those materials and consider adding to CSD area.

Pam to make screen demo of contributing to CSD area, including keywords discussion. Anticipated timeline: no later than December 30, 2009.
