COOL Voices

This open, online community is for the Textbook Affordability Campus Coordinators of the California Community Colleges and the California State University, supported by funding from AB 798.    

COOL Voices is always open for its community members to voice their advice, sing praises for successes, and give support for those who need help.

  The California Open Online Library for Education (www.cool4ed.org) team will provide information, resources, and facilitate online discussion forums to support the success of the CCC and CSU Textbook Affordability programs being implemented by Campus Coordinators.The COOL4Ed team will post documents, links to resources, and respond to questions and requests so Campus Coordinators for the Textbook Affordability Programs successfully fulfill their responsibilities and deliver on the legislative requirements.

Dear AB798 Textbook Affordability Campus Coordinators (TACC):

 

The next TACC AB798 webinar will be a joint meeting of AB798 and CSU Affordable Learning Solutions (AL$) implementation strategies in support of course materials’ affordability programs on your campuses.

  • Update on AB798 Funds distribution
  • Preliminary AB798 Report due June 30, 2017.  Review Report template.
  • TACCs share progress of their AB798 program so far
  • Reminder to utilize and share ideas via multiple online resources.
  • Questions/Comments

 

2nd 30 minutes:  CSU AL$

  • AL$ RFP Question and general reminders
  • Share current results for ALS faculty survey
  • Think aloud with Fullerton AL$ Coordinators Shelli Wynant and John Carroll regarding their recent OER day event
  • Reminder/review of events folder on shared google drive; best practices for planning campus ALS event
  • Questions/Comments
