Attached is the proposal Santa Barbara City College made last spring to the CSU Chancellor's General Education Advisory Committee.  I'm sharing it here to invite any reactions, and because it's one of the things people ask me for most often.

The proposal outlines a curriculum that embeds certain GE learning outcomes (in oral communication and lifelong learning) into other coursework found in traditional general education programs, in a wraparound learning community to include high-impact practices like peer mentoring and community engagement.
