Hello,

I'm attending Grape Camp this summer as part of a group at the University of Michigan. I had to miss the first week, so I miseed introductions, but briefly: I am a graduate student in English Language & Literature, and I have worked as an instructional reference librarian in the past. I am excited by exploring how the kinds of online tools we worked on to develop information literacy might be used in other instructional contexts.

Hope everyone is having a great summer!

Liz

Hi, Liz:

Welcome.  I'm sure you can catch up with everything.  We're happy to have you, and I know the English Editorial Board will welcome you when you finish.  We have a pretty good group of UM grad students.  This will give you a good experience with reviewing in general.

Dear Cathy,

¿Where is the Peer Review form attached to the homework material? I cannot find it. Thanks

Here it is.  (Attached)

I'm sorry I was looking for it in the material page, but I saved in my computer this form. I finished it and I will send it to you by mail. Thanks Cathy!
Okay.  But you can just wait until tomorrow.  The real task is when you upload it to MERLOT, which you will be doing tomorrow.
Already sent to your email...
Thanks for asking. I somehow missed the attachment to the email.

Excuse me pleace, I only speak Spanish.

Hola, Soy Rodrigo Zamorano.

Gracias, Rodrigo.

For those who don't speak Spanish, a translation is:

"Hi, I'm Rodrigo Zamorano. Professor and eLearning specialist and work in the Technological University of Chile, INACAP. I hope to be a contribution to the Spanish speaking community and Merlot in particular on teaching practice in my country.

Continental   Latin America is a rich educational experience and a wide variety of culture, so I think Latin America has much to contribute to Merlot."

INACAP is one of MERLOT's partners and have been busy spreading the use of MERLOT throughout Chile.  Here is their website they've created through MERLOT web services:

¡Hola, Rodrigo!

Hi, Rodrigo! I only know a little Spanish, but Google Translate helps me, and I hope my writing is good enough to understand. I love music the art of Spanish America, and took some classes Chilean composer Juan Orrego-Salas at Indiana University in the 1970s. MERLOT is wonderful in that it is international in scope and I'm sure our group will learn a lot from each other!

Classmates, we have http://translate.google.com - technology is great!

Hello, everyone. I was not able to attend the session when it was being broadcast. However, I got the email from Cathy and I am looking forward to participating in this Summer GRAPE Camp. I am a consultant for technology planning and online instruction. I am active in reviewing courses for several states to see if a course meets their curriculum requirement.  I was in public school education in Texas for 32 years. I was an adjunct professor at the University of Texas at the Permian Basin, Houston Baptist University and University of Houston at Clear Lake. I have certifications from superintendent and principal  to teacher. I am certified to teach 7-12 mathematics, social studies and computer science. I am currently working on professional development for engineering courses in the Project SHARE Texas initiative (www.projectsharetexas.org). I have also been an online instructor for the Texas Virtual School. My department created the Pasadena Virtual School for the Pasadena Independent School District.
