Hello,

My name is Ashley Long and I am currently the Online Learning Systems Administrator for Coastal Carolina University. I also teach Computer Science/Information Technology. I am looking forward to learning from GRAPE Camp!!

Best,

Ashley

Hi Ashley:

We're glad to have you. Do you know Sherri Restauri? I believe she is at Coastal also.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Cathy,

Yes, I do. She is the Director of my department.

Dear All,

I'm so thrilled to be participating in the process of becoming a peer reviewer for MERLOT. I have worked as a humanities professor in world languages and cultures for two decades, and recently joined UCLA to serve as an instructional designer for the EPIC innovation in pedagogy program. My main interests are neuroscience of learning and digital pedagogy...and doing things with tangibles.

I'm looking forward to working together and getting to know more about my new colleagues and MERLOT!

Warmly,

dana

Hi, Dana:

Welcome. You actually have some choices here in which Editorial Board you want to participate. Our World Languages Editorial Board is run by Laura Franklin who is a long-time MERLOT participant and our Faculty Development Editorial Board is run by Ray Purdom, another long-timer. We also have a fairly new Editorial Board of Instructional Technology, which branched off from Faculty Development.

You can look at some of the materials in each discipline to make your decision.

What language(s) did you teach?

Hi Everyone!

My name is Lynne Eggert.  I am an Assistant Professor and Director of the Radiation Therapy Program at Augusta University (aka Medical College of Georgia) in Augusta, GA.  I am originally from Asheville, NC and have been certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Radiation Oncology for 37 years.  I have been an educator for 22 years and primarily teach online courses.

I just attended my first GRAPE Camp training session and am excited to learn more about peer reviewing teaching materials on MERLOT.

Welcome, Lynne. Thank you for joining us yesterday. I know you mentioned not finding many materials on MERLOT in Radiation Therapy. Perhaps we can work on that. Do you have any materials that you might consider cataloging in MERLOT? As a MERLOT Member, you can add materials, even those that have been created by others. In the meantime, I'll see if I can find any.

Lynne, I found some materials and added them to MERLOT. Pardon my ignorance in not being familiar with radiation therapy during the session. I now know a lot more. Do a search on MERLOT for Radiation Therapy now.

Cathy,

Thank you very much.  Although I didn't find "radiation therapy" specifically, I still found cancer/oncology related materials.....just have to do a bit of digging to find it.  I'll check out your added materials for our next training session.  I appreciate your effort.

My digging was before you posted additional materials.  I haven't had an opportunity to login since yesterday morning.  I'm sure they're there.
