CSU-MTEP Convening - Oct. 2014

CSU math and math education faculty, members of the national MTEP project, and guests were invited to the CSU-MTEP Convening on October 10-11, 2014 at the CSU Chancellor's Office.

The goals for the CSU-MTEP Convening were:

  1. To enable CSU math and math education faculty to learn about the national MTEP and define the direction and purposes of CSU in this "gold standard" CCSS-M effort
  2. To plan the role your site (“team”) wishes to play in contributing to and being an active member of the faculty-led community the CSU-MTEP represents
  3. To develop an agenda for campus-based action in collaboration with partner schools advancing secondary teacher preparation in the CCSS-M

In preparation for the meeting, participants were asked to:

  • Review and bring the important “pre-readings” (see below)
  • Be ready to describe and plan action responsive to your campus needs in addressing the CCSS-M at the secondary level
  • Consider which Research Action Clusters (RACs) best meet the needs of your campus and partner schools and are of most interest to you.
