Putting Educational Innovations into Practice.

We need to discuss the sub-categories that we will use for the Sociology collection of materials.  During our phone call, one of the members of the Taskforce suggested we might want to use the chapters of the Introduction to Sociology textbook.  Please share your thoughts here on what sub-categories we should include in the taxonomy.

I like that idea. Another possibility is the ASA subfields listing: http://www.asanet.org/sections/list.cfm
However, with its 40+ categories, we might want to pare down considerably. Perhaps we could combine the intro chapters with the ASA subfields approach by using the former as main categories and then the latter could serve as either subcategories or category descriptors.
I like the idea of using the ASA's list of categories. Perhaps we could divide them into major and minor categories and subcategories.
