I am going to talk to the LA team about borrowing some of your assessments and research questions.

I don't think we thought about comparing our students w/ students across the nation. I like the idea of using normalized measures.

I also like the way you are looking at changes in faculty practice. We want to measure our 's impact on the culture of leadership in STEM and focused on increases in collaboration through looking at changes in participation in our professional . We are looking at something similar to your question of increasing adoption of HIPs (how much we influence adoption of our model or elements of our first-year experience). I guess we would add to that: How many more HIPs are being adopted which involve multiple departments? multiple divisions? faculty, staff, and administrators?  (i.e., we're trying to get at how are we being in the of these HIPs)
