Yes, I was pleased to see Merlot Voices as this is what we had been asking for from the TBC. I have sent the link to Rassoul for him to check out. We could create an area for a preconference community building for the CSU Business

Incidentally, the original design of the OERC logo came from an oncologist, Dr. Larry Lessin, who is also the project director for the OERC project.

Thanks for pointing this out. Is it possible to re-set the password? For life of me I don't remember the password.

Also when you add the comment about Dr. Lessin and the OERC logo please also mention Evan Jackson who did the finishing touches to the artwork.

Hi Gerry. Glad to see another technology person. Although, in the STEM subjects, I think there are very few who are NOT comfortable with technology since it has become integral to the sciences. I'd love to chat with you over coffee concerning the technology levels you see incoming STEM university students using and what their real-world challenges are.

I've just returned from the Palm Springs CUE conference and my mind is expanding into all manner of projects I might create for high school bioscience curriculum. I am curious...do you know if anyone has employed the Smart Moves technique in their secondary class environment? It is a 5-minute pretest video students follow along that connects the right and left brain functions.

Hi Gerry - well, facebook meets MERLOT, nice. Would like to talk about current NSF RFP re. NSDL and the research track. I know this is an unorthodox way to get in touch, but, what the heck?

I am highly delighted to contact you through MERLOT VOICE. it is a new mode of communication for me. but once I learn, it will become a potent tool to connect us. As you know, I am a Professor of Education in University of Lucknow. I am interested in designing new programmes and institutions in Teacher Education. Currently I am busy in planning a State University of Teacher Education for the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. I am also deeply involved in the studies in Higher Education and University organization.

Gerry, I just learned about the MERLOT Content Builder and am looking for examples. I joined the MERLOT Content Builder Users group to try to gain some traction on this. It sounds like it has a lot of potential. I hope all is going well for you. Ray

Great meeting you at the NSDL Annual Conference. I was impressed with your presentation, and the candid, forthcoming, and informal dialog we were able to have as well. I've joined the Noyce Scholars Voices community and made my first post! When convenient, I would enjoy a continuation of what we discussed in DC. AL

Gerry, I posted a discussion question on the community conversation /faculty development. Do you know what other universities are doing concerning extra pay for faculty developing an online course? I'm especially interested in the CSU campus practices. Thanks for any information you can provide.

Hi Gerry,

I'm glad you invited me to join your group.  I'm very comfortable sharing information about AcademicPub with your audience and sharing with them the resources we created for the entire community at CSU to use at http://csu.sharedbook.com/clientSite/  - thank you again for your invitation.
