Hi Gerry,
I think this tool will be a great way to extend an invitation for fellow Noyce PIs to become part of the community. I will get the word out to them about voices. David

Is there a good way to teach Lewis structures?

Hello Noycers!

If you don't know about it already, I would like to make you aware of an exciting on-line workshop that is directed to Noyce Scholars and PIs. This workshop will be a hands-on introduction to Virtual Courseware for the Life Sciences, the Keep Toolkit for electronic portfolios, and Merlot/Merlot Voices. It is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Stipends are available to Noyce Scolars who attend. For more details go to the link

I hope you can all attend.

Simina, I suggest you contact the person who heads the Noyce project on your campus. They are responsible for making local arrangements and should have received a notice of the workshop. They can add your name to the list of attendees. The other person you can contact is Dave Andrews at CSU Fresno.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I would like to suggest that we all make a concerted effort to stop by Noyce Voices on a regular basis and make a comment to keep the discussion flowing. If we can all stop by every two or three days and add something, this bud will blossom. My thanks to Jaime Arvizu for setting this up for the March 14th Online event. David

I just attended a wonderful session at the recent NSDL Annual Conference in DC and heard Gerry and several delightful Noyce scholars share "their story" and how they use digial assets to support their teaching (and the related challenges). Having been a middle school physical science educator years ago, and being married to an elementary educator now, I am pleased to learn of this program and community and look forward to sharing free e-PD resources and opporutnities from time to time. In that spirit, if you are interested in interacting live via web seminars with leading scientists and eduaction specialists from NASA, NOAA, FDA, NSF, NIH and others as they provide 60 minute science content updates with related lesson activities, simulations, etc. feel free to check out: http://learningcenter.nsta.org/products/webseminars.aspx. Over 120 are scheduled for this school year and if you miss a live program, archives and related enhanced podcasts of the same are also available. Best--Al
