Putting Educational Innovations into Practice.

Please introduce yourself and tell us a little about yourself.  We have a number of people who are doing GRAPE Camp asynchronously and you can communicate with them this way.  You can also ask questions here.

Hi, Kimberly.  I'm glad to hear of your interest in mobile technology.  We have a special initiative with our partner, Tennessee Board of Regents.  They are supposed to be adding a lot of apps and information about mobile tech to MERLOT.  They do have a resource page that may be of help.  http://www.tbrelearning.org/

Greetings,

I am wrapping up the January GRAPE camp and and very excited to begin the process of reviewing.  Cathy, these videos and tutorials are great and very helpful.  Thank you!

Cari

Wow!  Thank you for the great feedback, Cari.  Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hello All,

My name is Debbie Kight and I am an Adjunct Professor at Mount Olive College-RTP in North Carolina. My area of instruction is Early Childhood Education. I taught special education for Virginia Beach Public Schools for 13 years prior to teaching higher education. Currently, I am working toward my doctoral degree in Leadership in Higher Education Administration at Grand Canyon University. I am excited to work with Merlot as a learner and reviewer.

We're happy to have you, Deborah.  I think I mentioned that Early Childhood falls under Teacher Education.  The folks on that Editorial Board have been on it forever and a great group of people.  They have lots of fun and they're just good people.  You should enjoy working with them.

I'm Elizabeth Housewright, a recently retired library administrator and former science librarian at Cal State Fullerton.  I have an interest in library issues and instruction and also in science education (have a M.A. in Biology (Immunology).  I've enjoyed looking around at materials as part of the first assignment.

Hi, Elizabeth - Welcome.  We have Editorial Boards in both Library and Information Services and Biology.  The Library board is comprised of librarians from a number of other institutions.  You can check out the types of materialsavailable in both disciplines.

Hi everyone,

My name is Liz Peterson. I am a senior lecturer at Eastern Washington University, in Spokane (Cheney), Washington. I teach economics and entrepreneurship. I am participating asynchronously in Grape Camp, though as it turns out, I will be able to be "live" with you today!

I learned about Merlot from the IT folks at EWU, and took a workshop a couple of months ago from the Sloan Consortium to learn about it. Cathy moderated the workshop (yeah), and as a result, I'm here!

Looking forward to learning even more...

Liz

Wow, Liz.  That is great to hear.  Both that the IT folks at Eastern Washington told you about it and also that you attended the workshop.  We're really happy to have you.

And even better than that, I am currently handling Economics, as I don't have an Associate Editor.  Therefore, I'll be working with you once you graduate from GRAPE Camp!

That sounds great. Once I complete the training, just let me know what you need!

SUPER!!!  Glad to have you "live" today.

Hi Cathy!

Just wanted to let you know that I completed the entire video tutorial.

Thanks!

D. Kight
