Great! I know that it is a hard sell, but I think that we can find projects that they can do online. I don't have a clue, but I know that there is one out there.

We have a project called WI$E UP done with the cooperation the Department of Labor. Students take a financial literacy survey, and then they take a short course on building financial wealth. There are eight lessons. It is a pass/pass type of course. We had a great endorsement from one of the students, a E/6 who started a savings account for the first time. Perhaps we could get them involved with just enrolling and completing that course.

Kathy.Pyeatte@ctcd.edu handles the course for the department. She will go into your class and give all the information to the students. If you are interested, call her 800 792 3348 ext 1248. There is a routing number that students have to use to send the start and completion information to CTC SIFE. Your other friends are welcome to participate.

I give 25 points extra credit for students completing the task. The number of folks that we get enrolled and complete the course helps with our SIFE. The benefit isn't just for competition; the course benefits the student or citizen. People who take the short course don't have to be enrolled.

Good to hear from you. I am going to fish this weekend. Texas is through with winter. We are as dry as Georgia has been.

Hi Larry,

How is life away from CTC mentorship? Did you make it to Alaska this summer?
